Three cobia off Grandview Nature Preserve, Hampton, VA

Since May 6th, I fished only 3 times due to heavy workload.

One day, I caught a bunch of WP in Severn River, MD for fish tacos for a party.
A week ago, on 06/17/23, I caught 3 small cobia here, the same place, off Grandview Nature Preserve, Hampton, VA

It was a calm day in the Chesapeake bay. I launched from Fox Hill Boat ramp in Back River. I fished 1/2 mile off Grandvew Nature Preserve.
I caught about 15 spots (baitfish) before I anchored. I caught 3 cobia as expected. Luckily one was @ 41".

Nice catches Joe! We were off buckroe on the 17th and didn’t see many caught.
