I fished CBBT and Rudee on May 2-3, 2024.
On May 2nd, the calm day, I brought home 4 keeper tautog. I took advantage on a rale calm day nowadays.
On May 3rd, with the strong wind in the afternoon, I experienced the only bad day in my entire Rudee fishing life. Because I, and all of the fishermen had very high expectations on that day. Prior to the day, Rudee was a hot place for Large chopper bluefish, gator trout, large speckled trout, large red fish, and sheepshead.
Unfortunately, I hit the bad day. I missed the windows of 1-3 weeks
I used finger mullet, shrimp, soft and hard lures. MirrOlure were the only one worked for me.
The wind was strong, so we fished morning primarily. The most of the anglers caught no keepers.
I kept a grey trout @21” and speckled trout at 17”
I think good numbers of Puppy drums and specks were moved out to North already. Chopper blue fish is moving to Delaware now
Fishing log:
Thanks joe
