We had cold and very windy Jan, Feb and March.
This year, there were only 3 days suitable for kayak-fishing at CBBT (Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel.
Also. the water temp was lower than usual by 4 degrees. It went down to 35F.
I got skunked on Mar 3rd. I never caught tautog in the water below 40F.
On the day, the wind was calmer than the forecasted, air temp was nice between 40-50F, and the current was mild - milder than predicted.
Though tautog weren’t biting. I landed 3 @14, 15 and 16. Luckily, one @16” was the keeper.
I am waiting for a calm day. But, since March 10, there has not been a calm day for fishing
