"A Quickie I desperately needed"
This was my plan:
Launch at 6.
First fish the Pylons before the 1st island until 9:15 during the outgoing tide.
Around the slack tide for 3 plus hours, fish the rock bed, the North of the 1st Island. The outgoing and incoming tides will be very mild today after 9:30 AM.
What actually happened:
I caught only 3 toadfish today instead of a ton of them.
I caught only 6 tautog all at the pylons on the way to the 1st Island. I caught 4 keeper tautog: 18”, 19”, 19.5” and 20” between 6:35 AM and 8:25 AM.
I didn’t go to the 1st Island. Came back home early.
