Late report - Fished the VA side of the 301 bridge on the Potomac. The plan was to try and find some puppy drum but the wind machine was in full force. I fished with my younger cousin that I recently hooked on kayak fishing. We hit an oyster bar up the river and he found a few. I caught a micro white perch and a cownosed ray. He caught a bunch of small rock and then we decided to try the pilings. Bad idea, wind and outgoing tide made for tough conditions and the water was all churned up. We called the trip short and went and ate ribs at the Texas BBQ place on 301. Much better idea!

At least you guys got some pullage. I often see white caps on that stretch of the river. It's open from a lot of directions. Did you guys launch from the visitor's center?

There's a little beach right there with grills, is they the VC? It was a small cnr, I will post pictures soon
