Speckled trout run

Invite to anyone that wants to try for some speckled trout tomorrow Friday the 15th. Going to a couple of locations on the northern neck. Trying out 1 or 2 new spots that look good to me. If interested private message me and we can link up. Leaving quantico about 545 to 6 am.

Well went out fishing for Specks, saw only one and it was belly up and floating by. But did have some luck and caught a couple rock fish, the first one was 23 inches and only weighed about 4 pounds. Then I got this little guy. My best one to date. 29.5 inches at 18 pounds. Very fun on 10# test and light medium rod for specks. Had to get off the water mid day due to winds were starting to move pretty good.image.jpg

Should of stuck it out. The winds died down and it was beautiful in the afternoon.

Nice fish. Did you catch it at the outlet on Quantico? At the outlet there's a small channel between the river the weedy "lake" area. Fisherman shore fish at the channel. I think it's near the gym. There's also a small boat ramp there. On the northern side toward the FBI academy, there's a small lake. I use to yak fish both areas.
