Bass & Snakeheads graduation at Leesylvania 6-2-13

I finally feel like I graduated from Bass & Snakehead fishing

Went out fishing yesterday trying to get this bass and snakehead thing down. I think I did pretty good for a freshwater newbie. I launched around 5:30 form Leesylvania State Park. Got me 3 snakeheads, although I was able to take a phone picture because my GoPro broke down. I was also able to get 6 bass. All were caught using swimbaits rigged on 3/0 hook. I had no idea what I was doing but it sure was fun experimenting. Here are some pictures of my catches.

These were the killer swim baits I used. I tried frog and buzz baits but this were the one that made it all happen. The fire tiger one was recommended to me by snakehunter and I am glad I listened to him. Now the pink and chartreuse was a total accident. I had bought those for when I go fishing for speckle trout. I happened to have it in my light tackle rod and decided to try it that day. The rest as they say.......is history. I am going out again tomorrow afternoon and I will try them again. I'll let you know if it works again.

Thanks for the tips bro! I'm itching to go on Saturday for some Snakehead. I'm thinking Pohick... I will have to stop by Dick's to pick up some of these... Are they 3" or 4"?
