Was on the water around 8 am. Turned out to be a nice day with blue sky, sun, light wind and small chops. The current was rippin' a little in the morning though.
Heard the sheepies were in, so I hunted for them using clams. Nada. Caught scup, black sea bass, toads and lots of croaker. All C&R.
I also heard the flounder was in, so half the time I jigged a bucktail and plastic for flounder in 10 to 35' water. Again, nothing. I did land a massive 17" toadfish though. The biggest I ever caught. Good enough for the MKF Leaderboard, for now anyway.
So, I had good pullage and a nice yaking day.
