Thinking of heading to Riverbend this weekend. I'm new to kayak fishing; what is the technique for positioning on a river? I know the smallmouth here like the pools next to fast moving water. Do I try to anchor, or do I try to wedge myself onto a large rock? Any advice is appreciated...

You should come out to Point of Rocks, there will be a bunch of us out there for the MAKBF event. its $20 to enter, and portions go to heroes on the water charity. Should be a good time and there will be people that probably wont mind showing you the ropes. I'm new to the river fishing myself, only been once before.
