  • Potomac Pike 7-22

I went Potomac Pike fishing early in the morning. I launched around 6:30 at high tide, the bites aren't very hot. I fished using top water frog, there were couple big blow up in the first hour but they all missed the frog. Around 8:30 they had their coffee and I had mine, so they actually bite the damn frog this time. I hooked up 2 SH 2 bass in about an hour but then the bites drop and the sun also came out. So, around 10 I called it a day.

Big SH is about 32", other one is 24"

Nice snakes! Must have been fun catching the larger of the two.

I check out a new place and it was productive. I didn't weight it, it's over 10 lbs for sure but not that big for world record

Both was quite fun. The small one fight good too, it is just not as strong as the big one but they both fight pretty hard.

Nice job! I hear they're good eating. What do you do to prepare them?

My mom likes to make soup out of the small one. The big one can give some nice filets. I made some nice fish & chip last time, or fish nuggets
              .
