  • Lake Anna

The weather is going to be nice this coming Saturday, 11/16. I am thinking of a change in scenery, possibly Lake Anna State Park.

Anyone here familiar with the area? It's a 2 hour drive from my house, but I'm looking forward to getting out on some "new to me" fresh water.

Any other suggestions either north or south of the Columbia, MD area, are welcome too.

Since its fall, and if you are on the cold side, fish the dikes. At the bottom of the rip rap is about 4-6ft that evenually drops to 15-25' a good spot for big fish to feed, and under the bridges that create a pinch point from one arm of the lake to the other is also a great spot where i have pulled 4-5lb fish. Drop shot, deep cranks and wacky worm is what i used to catch those fish.
