no flounder at Lewes but fresh water bite was good

Went to the inlet in Lewes hoping the flounder were moving in, it seems we were a little early because we got no bites.

Not wanting to go home skunked we tried some off the beaten path ponds on the way back to Bethany. As you can see I am not used to taking pics on the new hawg trough with my phone yet. So here are a few that are not of my feet. I will try to do better next time.

I would monitor the water temp. Right now, it's not prime time for flounder. Good move to go freshwater though. Thanks for the report.

BTW, your Lewes report should go under Delaware, not VA. Is Bethany in VA?

Heard reports of keeper size flounder being caught in Lewes canal. Perhaps the water is slightly warmer there.

Tufnik, you are right I meant to post in Delaware forum. We are from VA just visiting DE.

RxForFishin, they were catching keepers on Saturday we were unable to catch any on Monday. Sunday was very windy and water temps were low. It was just to nice on Monday not to try.

MrT, white bass is what I was told and we caught a couple but that was the biggest.

We caught 2 of those giant bluegill also caught 2 17" large mouth but I didn't get pics of them. I'm still working on my pic skills.
