Soaking a crab pot while fishing Belmont Bay

Might be heading down to Mason Neck on Saturday to try and catch some Snakeheads. Was thinking about throwing a crab pot down to soak for a few hours while I fish, in hopes to catch a half dozen or so keepers for a low country boil. Anyone know if the blues come this far up the Potomac?
