Did a morning wade trip today on the Potomac. Beautiful conditions and crystal clear water. Stumbled around on a ledge and in the river for about 3 hours. Connected to 5 smallies and a sunfish. Absolutely zero top water action for me. I couldn't find any pattern to where the fish were. Eventually caught the fish on a white bead head streamer. I can't wait to get back there and next time I'll bring the kayak. I would like to focus on this area for June, July, August, and September to see what happens for me there.
