  • Free State Fly Fisher Flea Market Tomorrow

This Saturday, 31 March, is the FSFFer's annual flea market from 10:00 a.m. to noon.

Members bring their excess gear to the club house for sale or trade.

Although fly fishing items predominate, there will be conventional tackle also. Please stop by for some excellent deals. It's a great opportunity to get started in fly fishing if you're inclined or to learn what you'll need to do so. The goal of the club is to promote the sport and the pricing reflects that.

    No admission charge.

    Please stop by.

Will there be things like partial packs of tying materials or more finished stuff?

I do not specifically know what folks will bring. In the past there have been a few bucktails and hackles for sale. But often members donate their excess materials to the club for our tying sessions. There are likely to be more rods, reels and lines than fly tying materials.

Members get space priority, of course.

I have sent you a PM.

                  Tom,

Check the club website. There's a "For Sale" link and then a "Rod" link under that. Since January about 30 rods changed hands. Members often sell rods and gear. Larger items left over from Saturday may appear on the links.

                    Mark -

I plan to be there and can bring my own table and chair. If necessary, I can set up outside on the grass.

It was great to see a few Snaggedliners at today's FSFF Flea Market.

                        Thanks for participating, guys.

                        Some nice things exchanged ownership.

I sold two books, 4 fishing shirts, and some assorted tackle in 90 mins. Not bad for a small event. I showed buyer's discretion and spent only 35 cents for a bag of white twister tails. Thanks to the FSFF for setting this up.

For those of you who have never participated in a FSFF event, these guys are dedicated to fishing in general, with a shared passion for flyfishing. They even let a non-fly angler like me join their club. There is tremendous knowledge and enthusiasm among the FSFF membership.
