  • Soft hackle update

While we were wading in a So. PA stream rather than kayaking, I thought I'd update success of my winter's fly tying......all these fish except for the two larger rainbows were caught on the soft hackle fly I innovated from the tellico nymph. It was a great day. The two larger rainbows were recent stocks and came on a deadhead olive wooly bugger that I purchased.

Caught a few on gunpowder the next day on this....but high winds made fly fishing not enjoyable.... and dangerous...see pic of tree that snapped 20 yards from me

Wow....what stretch of the Gunpowder? I used to fish the C&R section every week, that is before I got the kayak fishing bug!
