  • Glad to be home...for now

I’m hot n heavy back into fly fishing along with kayak fishing the bay. I spent all last fall and winter fishing in Pensacola for reds, trout and whatever else I could catch.

Now that I’m back I’m wanting start chasing more than just trout. I started tying again also. I’ve been itching to go after carp lately.

Where does everyone like to go not just with a kayak but shorestalking and wading?

    Nice red.

There are plenty of places to wade the Upper Potomac for smallmouth when the river level allows.

Two of my favorites are Brunswick and near Sharpsburg/Shepherdstown.

I've seen plenty of carp wallowing in eddies at Brunswick but they have never accepted any fly I offered.

    Good luck.

Awesome. I’ve walked around liberty and loch raven and have seen a few carp although at the time I wasn’t targeting them. I did catch a 14” carp on a mepps spinner at Liberty.
