OBX Pond - Non-Kayak - Fun on the Fairy Wand

Fished a pond in OBX of North Carolina yesterday from 6PM to 7PM. Fish were active and caught several tiny bass plus some hand sized sunfish.

Nice catches.

Any idea what those sunfish are? Their coloration is different than our bluegills. The first one is actually purple-ish.

I’m not sure Mark. I’ve caught some that look like regular bluegills. The water is very dark so maybe that is why the fish are so dark looking. The purple coloration is really neat and the copper color up on the gills and head is really different. Even the bass are darkly colored.
