You both do nice work. Congrats.

I will be manning a table for the Free State Fly Fishers and tying flies myself this Saturday, 22 February, at Lefty Kreh's Tie Fest at the BWI Marriott, 1743 West Nursery Road, Linthicum, MD 21090.

        Here's a link to the event: https://tiefest.com/

For those on the forum who plan to attend, please stop by to say hello.

        Many thanks,

Nice flies. Those will catch a lot of fish for sure!

Mark, is there a fee to attend the show?

              Tom,

I clipped this from the weblink:

Looks like it's $10 for most.

Some flies are just so much fun to make that it's hard to stop even when you have more than enough. Fortunately, the per unit cost of most flies is cheap.

I've often said that I'm glad my fishing habit did not extend to rod-building. I'd have way more rods than the too many I already have.

Two fellow club members (Luis and Frank) and I talked to a lot of folks yesterday at the Lefty Kreh Tie Fest in Linthicum from the time the doors opened at 1000 until they closed at 1630:

                        FSFF1.jpg

We also tied and gave away a lot of flies. These are the remaining bluegill killers from the stash that I tied at the show:

                        FSFF2.jpg

Other FSFF reps will be present at our table today.

Stop by to say hello if you can. (I posted a link to the show earlier in this thread.) There are freshwater and tidal guides available, tying seminars in breakout rooms, and numerous vendors and fly fishing organizations present. Raffles of gear were ongoing throughout the day also. Short of fishing, it's a good way to spend a few hours on a winter day.
