  • Tenkara Tom - King of All Fallfish

No smallies yesterday. I fished after work until sunset for about 45 minutes. I stopped counting after about 12. I am the Maryland Tenkara King of All Fallfish.
The fallfish were hungry and unfortunately are the dominant species on the small flows near my home. A few were solid and chubby and I presumed were females.
It was great to be out on the small flow. The spring peepers/frog things were croaking up a storm too. That was the first time I've heard them this year.

    I like your new name.

I bet those soft hackle flies and your Tenkara rod will catch a lot of bluegills in spring.

The Fall Fish acts so much like a trout in every way that DNR should rename them "Silver Trout"... and they wouldn't even need to stock them.
