  • Smallest BG this year

Participated in the Hero’s on the Water event yesterday at Piney Point Lake. Was a great event, but fishing struggled. I manage a couple BG on surface flies. However this is the smallest BG I’ve ever caught. Was on a yellow Triangle fly

Had fun anyway even though it was a hot one.

    Yep.

I think you beat my recent Triadelphia miniatures for the smallest catches.

Way to go -- although I know that wasn't your plan.

    Good reflexes nevertheless.

      Hey John,
I admire your catch and willingness to share it.

Just for the record, I think that you've actually caught a Green Sunfish, based on it's shape and lower fin color.

They are almost as pugnacious as Pumpkinseeds.
If you put on of them in an aquarium with a much larger bass, unless the bass can eat it, it will take over the tank and bully the bass into a corner.

Thanks for that. At least I didn’t get skunked, always count on panfish-usually
