The black wooly bugger was extremely popular yesterday afternoon. My favorite time of year to wade. Low, clear, water. Leaves still on the trees. Nobody else around fishing.
Today I used a level line that appears to be an orange flurocarbon and I tied on a 6 foot-ish leader of P-Line CX Premium. I could tell that the level line resulted in the fly hitting the water first and I'm guessing it spooks the fish less than the floating PVC line.
I caught a dozen or more fallfish, a couple were 11 or 12 inches long. I only caught one sunfish. I managed these smallies. They were all dinks, but super fun and it was nice to see some younger fish in this section of river.
