On Monday I was able to catch my first fish of 2022 while in the OBX for the holiday weekend. I took my Tenkara rod to some shallow freshwater ponds and found a few willing bluegills. Here are some photos of the fish and the fly I used.

I was able to get out on the flow yesterday after work and fished for about an hour. I got my first Maryland fish of 2022. 9 inches of Patuxent fallfish! haha. I had a second fallfish on for a bit, but it came off and I did a terrible hook set. Anyways, it was nice to get the waders out and get out on the river. The frogs were chirping. Spring will be here quickly.
