I fished for about 90 minutes yesterday afternoon and added a new species to my Tenkara list. Got my first rock bass on the tenkara rod. It took a foam popper. I don't often catch rock bass and near me it seems like I only catch them on the upper Patapsco. Anyway, it was good to get out on the water for a bit. I caught mostly red breasted sunfish. No fallfish, so that was nice for a change and the rock bass a pleasant surprise. All fish were caught on topwater. I love this time of year for wading creeks and small rivers.
