  • New PB LMB with the fly rod

It wasn't from my kayak,as I wanted to bring a friend with me, and test run the motor after some repairs....but this big guy (relatively)...hit a small ice blue/white streamer on my work horse (and first fly rod) vintage hurricane rod....I was just casting for anything that was hungry, because the catching was super slow 2.98lbs..... Round it off and call it a 3 pounder!
        Nice fish!

Lol, it was bigger than my buddy's bass, and it was his scale, so, in an effort to not rub it in,I use the actual weight...hahaha....

              Chip,

              A $14 rod, huh?

Proof again that fish are not swayed by the cost or brand name on our gear but by how we employ it.

              Again, good catch.

I missed this report Chip. That's a nice fish on the fly rod. How long do you think it was? I'm not sure if I've ever caught a fly rod bass larger than 16 inches.

Great job, looks like these fish are getting hungry.
