I just spoke to the guy at the Brighton Dam cabin. Both reservoirs are still closed. They checked last Thursday and the ice was 4 inches thick. The guy indicated they are going to check again tomorrow. "Still ice near the dam, but not sure how bad it is up stream," according to the guy. His estimate was another 2 weeks, unless things really heat up. Call 301-206-4FUN and press #1. You can also press a number and speak to a live person at the Brighton Dam cabin too.

Update to the original thread topic: I have confirmed w/Humminbird that there is a problem encrypting the smaller SD cards with the 600 series units (Needs to be a 16GB-32GB SD card). So for now I will have to purchase a 16GB card to get the Rocky Gorge map (already got one for free from Humminbird which I used to get the Triadelphia map). Seems excessively wasteful to use a 16GB memory for a 43MB file. Oh well. Hopefully, their software engineers will put a fix in soon and release updated firmware.
