I realized the problem. Forgot to hook the line under the quick cleat. No problem, just user error. I remembered now thinking something was weird when I went to pull the rudder up. Missed a step! Woops.

Video from our skunking at the bay bridge to show the scotty rocket launcher for Bill. If I had to do it again I would have put the mount facing with the inboard arrow on the outside. When I go to adjust the holder with tension on the rod it wants to pull all the way out if I have it at a 90. I found it was better to leave it about a 45 so that I could reach the rod better anyway. Also, need to bring a left hand retrieve reel next time but I wanted to test the hand me down reel I got recently.

I'm on the fence for heading to PLO or BB on Sunday. We took a trip in the Long Island Sound last weekend and caught 19 short flounder. I'm itching to get a keeper, have you heard of anything good out of PLO?Used to fish more.

Thanks for the fix. I'll check it out.
I haven't heard much about flounder, except for the DNR report which mentions some areas outside kayaking range. I haven't seen anything on the Buzz's Marina report page, either, but it might be worth giving Mike and Christy a call. I plan on swinging by the Tackle Box tonight, so I'll ask them about it and let you know.Yellow Hobie Revo Rube Goldberg

I have a flush mount in the same location on both sides. left is for the fishfinder and the right is currently unused, but was looking at the scotty tube for it...hmmm
when i troll, i just stick the rods behind me on the molded rod holders...was thinking about that up front just for a general holder when i need to grab something for examplesigpic

Seat Update
I glued a seat pad that I purchased originally for my trident on my revo and tried it out on Wednesday night. It was night and day better. Added plus was that the seat doesn't slide anymore. I also removed the scupper plugs and traveled very light (for me) - one plano of extra plastic and a few cranks, one bag of jigs on my seat strap, 2 rods + baby back up, and some water.
It was much more comfortable, except for the extreme heat that had me wet the whole time anyway!

A couple of additions
Added a YakAttack mount for a camera holder and some pvc rod holders tonight... I'd like to get rid of the crate but still have space for rods so we'll see how this goes.
Fits in the area behind the seat on my trident
