2012 outback with 2015 look

This my seat upgrade.This just made more comfortable for my back.I just couldn't see buy new just for the seat.Iam sure you know this is a Jackson seat.Thanks to Delaware Paddlesport.

First I cut 3 pcs pvc trim boards.Glued two together the other one I drilled two hole one on each side of the pvc board.Then drill two holes through yak and fasten with ss nuts and bolts of course but little goop around them.The other two pcs are held down with plastic expoxy and 3 ss screws.I then mounted two mighty mounts to the pvc.I drilled one hole in both back leg so that the tee bolts could come threw.That's held down with thumb nuts.The front is held down with carbiner which hooks to my square hatch.To keep from scratch the yak from the legs I put waterproof neoprene with the sticky back under the legs.

just got tired of that seat hurting my back. I had the seat before the 2015 came out back in sept. my neighbor has a Jackson so I retro fit it before I went out to spend the money for this one.Had it done for couple months now been to busy picking soy beans.Thanks

I was already planning on buying another Outback, so my daughter will have her own kayak. Sitting on the nose isn't a good option on the Bay...and she really wants to fish.

That's exactly what I bought the 2015 for....lol....the seat. With all the other yaks with their lawn-chair seats, I was wondering when Hobie would do the same. When I heard about the new Outback several months, I jumped on it. When you seat on your yak for 8-12 hrs without breaks, the butt, leg, etc. pain becomes pretty uncomfortable. To me, it was worth it. Funny, with the new seat, I still get pain but not as bad. Gettin' old I guess ... lol.

Won't fit that I know of.
