The pipes and rails support the weight of a Hobie Revo 13 and a Native Ultimate 12 just fine. No wobble. Those two boats combine for around 120 pounds. Prior obtaining my Ultimate I stored a Jackson Coosa in the top shelf. It weighed 20 pounds more than the Ultimate.

Each PVC pipe is 3 feet long and the interior width of the rack is 32 inches which accommodates the beams of my kayaks. I used end caps on the PVC pipes to keep them from pulling through the holes. They're held in place by friction. I did not glue them.
The vertical posts are stock 2 by 4s which are really 1.75 inches by 3.75 inches. Each post is 4 feet making the rack 4 feet high, 8 feet long and 3 feet wide.
