I purchased my Hobie Revo used so I'm not sure if the lift handle directly behind the seat was factory installed or after-market. Anyway, I was lifting the kayak using that handle, and heard a pop, and one half of the handle had popped through the hole. There was a small black rubber head which snapped and got lost in the grass, and I heard a rattle inside the kayak which I assume was the other half of the plastic piece.
I have looked around and can not find that type of "rivet" (for lack of a better word) anywhere. I think I want to reattach the handle because it was useful, but at a minimum I want to plug the hole if there is no replacement part. Regular pop rivets seemed too small to fill the hole. If there is no better way, I guess I could go that route and use lots of Goop, but I'm sure that won't hold.
Any repair ideas? Attached a couple of pics to help visualize.
