I almost exclusively use scotty mounts on my yak. These are a much welcomed addition to my mounts, making adjustments soooo much quicker and easier! Ordered from ACK as always...

Today's post by MetroMan and one in December by Redfish convinced me to try some slip discs. I ordered 4 pairs from ACK this afternoon. I was really impressed to get a phone call 10 minutes later from a staff member there telling me that they were temporarily out of stock and would not be able to ship the order until Tues or Wed. The lady asked if I could wait that long. I did not need the parts in a rush, but want to recognize ACK for customer relations above and beyond the norm.John Veil

Man I swear by them 110%. Mytmouse and I joke, saying they they give you your tracking # before you even submit payment. The best company I've dealt with since I've began kayaking. The one time I ordered something that was missing a part, the missing component was overnighted with a free t shirt.<insert witty comment here>

While I haven't used them in a real world fishing scenario yet, I've tried to make them slip (by hand) while tightened. I was unable to do so. I highly doubt they will slip while fishing...especially since the rod would absorb most of the load.<insert witty comment here>
