Now, no snakehead is safe once I get the boga on them
Forgot to add, the boga is a cheap knock off and we picked it up last year this time at the fishing shop in Northeast for the Jamboree. They about $15 but under $20 and worth the investment.
I can't claim to be anywhere near as photogenic as the gal in the previous photo, but here is a picture of my "boga" grip in use this morning on a 21" speckled trout. As soon as I got the fish onboard, I clipped the gripper on it to make sure it would not slip overboard.

I lost my 1st boca last year, and bought a new one with the spinning jaw... although it will prevent a huge fish from ripping your arm off, it'll also result in seriously tangled lines if you have not yet unhooked the fish and it spins a lot.

I just ordered a fish grip from Amazon.
I have a Boga knock-off from BPS and they work really well. My issue is the damage it does to the fish's mouth, at least when I'm handeling it. If I'm keeping the fish, well, its going to end up roasted Masgouf style so it doesn't really matter.
It's when I have to release the fish because its too small that's got me concerned. Most of the time I see a lot of blood coming from the pressure of the 'boga' (not from where it's hooked). I've also noticed at times that the lower jaw will get punctured by the 'boga.' To each his own, but I can't help but feel guilty about the fish when I'm releasing it. I'm hoping the fish grips will help alleviate that problem. I'll still carry both in case I have a tight mouth fish and can't get the fish grips in...-Mustafa

Anyone seen the Toro Tamer? I heard it's pretty good. Unlike my fish grippers, it has small grippers to fit many fish mouths. At $60, I may order one.

There are lots of options on the market these days. I think Bogas are great. Alot of us have switched over to another stainless steel grip called the Lucid Fishng Grips b/c they're about 1/3 of the price and still great quality.
I think the main point is to NOT loose the fish AND to not tear the fish up. So I (IMO) think a swiveling head is a MUST!!!
I remember the first pair I had it was stationary like the fish grip...and it would tear holes in the fish if it thrashed or kicked hard enough. I caught alot of flack for using those haha!
Anyways here's a couple pics of these things. from there site lucid fishing. http://www.lucidfishing.com/fish-pics--vids.html
