Go Pro vs waterproof cameras

I don't know if Sony can beat the Hero 3+ Black. The H3+B exceeds in all categories except battery life. And sadly that's got me wondering if I should bother with the upgrade. My Hero 2 lasts for 2 hours on the standard battery which is just long enough to fill a 16G card at 1080p, 30fps.

As for Sony coming out with a new model this summer... the grapevine is saying that GoPro should be releasing the Hero 4 this October.

yeah the sony has been slated by just about every web site and review site to have the better video quality and better battery, better sound quality and better gps signal and wifi signal.

i tried both side by side. and i felt like the color quality was a little better in the sony, and the video quality was near identical.. but near identical to a 400$ camera for 250... the question answered it self
