  • New Kayaker on hunt for So. MD Rockfish

Just getting into this sport and new to the forum. I'm amazed at all I've been missing. This fall I bought a 13' Ascend from Bass Pro and I fished it a few times off Parkers Creek in Scientists Cliffs, MD. My goal is to catch a trophy rockfish there this spring. Anyone fish that area?

Also any advice on outfitting anchor trolley, track system, Scotty rod holders, safety flag/light, ect. would be very helpful.

I got the Ascend due to limited budget and just testing waters. Now I'm hooked literally, my son will be getting this one soon, ha.

I'm not familiar with the area you're talking about, but there are probably fish there.

Welcome a bored...hoping winter takes a hike so we can get rid of this cabin fever.

Welcome to Snaggedline! I have had the Ascend D10T and now the FS12T, also due to budget along with having gift cards. I've never fished that far south so I wont be of any use finding stripers. But if you have any questions about the yak or rigging I might be able to offer help down the road.

Looked at your wish list, my 2ยข:

                              1) I would get a trolling bait bucket over the bait bag you have listed.

                              2) I haven't fished with anyone that used a drift sock around here.
