Albright is a simple knot to tie and is effective. I really like the Alberto knot though. I have never had a problem with it slipping and lower floro to braid goes through the guides with ease.

FG knot is my go-to knot - not hard to tie and holds well - once you get the hang of keeping tension in both lines when you tie it. I use this method - just be careful on your rod tips with light rods (... don't ask ...):

I tie this on 20 lb braid and 10 lb supercast to either 10, 20, or 30 lb leaders - so it works on the light stuff too - very versatile.
Tips: 1. do 3 figure "8" loops (little or no tension on the leader), then pull the leader straight (90 degrees to main line) - this locks the leader and main line together and it won't slip after that and you can hold some tension in the leader.
2. After each successive figure "8" - pull the leader straight again to tighten the knit.
3. Run the knits in a direction so that the leader tag end is on the main-line side of the knot (bottom to top if you will).
Knot should be very small, tight and consistent for its entire length (leader goes roughly straight through the middle) - finish with half hitches. This knot can be trimmed to nothing but the knot itself - no tag ends needed. Worst case - one of the half hitches will come out.
!!!!! THEN GO FISHING !!!!!

I use several depending on size when surf fishing. I recommend a uni-to-uni (double uni), the Albright knot, and the San Diego Jam as the primary three.
Tied properly, these knots do not slip - regardless of line(s) type. The Blood Knot is indeed a very good one; however, any of the above I find easier to tie - particularly in dark or low light conditions. I know and have used others if you continue finding need for others.DaveO
