I got out on a boat today on the upper bay (gasp) which was nice because of the wind. We fished the same areas I would hit on a kayak. We trolled a bit then stopped and jigged, and really got into some quality fish.
Here was a 30 incher, several others were close and lots of mid 20's with a few unders.
Those G-Eye jigs were great. Mike had some and they were the ticket. I'm not so sure they eye had anything to do with it, although I'm not a fish so I can't say for sure. I was more a fan of the shape which allowed it to fall a little nicer than the narrow jig head I was using. That one is better for getting down deep quickly. The G-eye was good for casting and jigging back. The hooks were strong and sharp and gave a great hook set. I'm going to order some right now.

I haven't gotten the other pics up yet, but I will soon with a full report. It's been a great season! I've been out almost every weekend and the catching this year has been exceptional. Many trips this fall have yielded 30" fish. It looks like others are having the same kind of experience. Nice!
