yup, i actually just got back from his house. I got an Ardent Bolt reel, idk if any of you are familiar with Ardent's new lineup. they are super smooth and saltwater does not affect them. ill have them at the tournament site so you can try them out afterwards.

I thought i had you on the list. Yes, you can launch anywhere as long as you make it back. Yes, it will be by points. Not sure on how many fish, id assume 4 or 5 depending on how many people show up. Perch are everywhere though, it will come down to who runs into the bigger ones. Hope to meet you all there.

D3NAL1 if he brings any light or ultra light rods in the 6 to 7 ft range I'd have trouble saying no. Haha. I'm a gear junkie. You should have never told me now I know to bring extra money.

Didn't get out to fish this week. I'll still be there Saturday and I talked to the guy who's number was listed. He said check in starts at around 6:till about 7:30 and you don't have to launch there you can fish anywhere. Be back for weigh in by 2:30. He said fish scoring will be a point per ounce and a point per 16th of an inch I guess. I don't know how many fish will be scored but will find out at check in I guess.

Ron, I had a couple as well. I did not keep any perch, as I want to save them for Saturday. I did however manage to get some legal rockfish in the area and several puppy drum.

Big Mike and I hit Curley's Marina this morning to see what's what and get familiar with the launch- kinda tight quarters for a tournament, but we caught fish...found perch scattered in 3-4 feet of water with lots of nettles around sliming up everything...I was back by 9:30 headed home- I brought home a nice mess of 12 fish to fry up for supper- my biggest was 11 inches with three 10.5- the rest were right at 10 inches- made a nice pile of filets...

I'll be hoping to get out and prefish Tuesday or Thursday or both days this week if possible. Haha.
