Also at only 28" wide the yak can be a bit tippy at times

I have one and it's not as tippy as you think when you are seated. I can shift weight, stretch, and lean all over the thing and don't have any worries of turtling. I can't stand up that well in it though, but I think me being 6'2" doesn't help me in that regard.

If you don't use scuppers it will be wet in the leg wells even if you aren't heavy. I max out around 195 lbs and I always water in the leg wells. My seat and rear storage area stay dry though unlike the video. But they have scuppers for those holes too.

My only complaint about the thing is I wish the leg wells were smooth like a trident and not the molded foot holders. The molded holders get uncomfortable at times.

I was just trying to relate it to other fishing kayaks 28" is a narrow yak for a fishing model. Ocean kayak does a good job by pontooning out the hull the slightest bit where the seat area is. I could stand and cast from my 29" wide scrambler xt. He should have a good time with the prowler. Its a time tested hull and there is a reason they still make it all these years later.
