I actually prefer the pedals but I use the paddles sometimes ........ especially in the shallows or coming to shore ......... and reverse of course .........

the engine .......... when it's hot or I'm lazier than usual

after fishing with hobie i dont think i would ever go back to a paddle kayak.

Who cares, I use an electric and don't care what anyone else thinks.

...and of course one with an electric uses a paddle, when in shallows and casting, the paddle is stealth.
