Lots of info on Keith Lochwoods fishing reports about deep creek, I'd probably start with drop shotting live minnows down deep....that should get you into a variety of things. Otherwise working rocks, wood, drop offs with crankbaits should find you something...

I used to spend a lot of time on Deep Creek...if you had a power boat I would offer more suggestions, but assuming your kayaking and some what limited on covering lots of water. If you just want some pullage try Perch patterned, hard jerk baits perch.jpg nearly anywhere for pickerel, I would suggest a very small diameter, 6" long wire leader...OR pitch 4" worms OR ZOOM finesse worms on very light jig heads, under docks, for large mouth bass
