  • Slower Lower Meet and Greet

There will be a meet and greet in the slower lower but we are shifting the date to Saturday the 30th of June. This will give us much better tides to work with and another week for things to get into a “normal pattern. Apologies if this interferes with 4th of July plans.

We will be fishing Smith Creek/Potomac and launching from the St Inigoes ramp at 6AM. Folks are welcome to launch earlier if they’re local. We haven’t made lunch plans yet. Let me know if you’re interested in lunch and we’ll try to make something happen. Not a lot of choices down at the end of the earth.

In past years specks and puppy drum were part of the mix. This year???

    Hope folks can make it.

Mike- Courtney’s is directly across the creek from the launch and it has some pretty decent seafood...

Great. Hoping this hot and blessedly dry spell ups the salinity, clears the water, and draws our southern fish up the bay. Solid rumor of a few small specks caught in surrounding waters but not a consistent pattern yet.

I'm good with Courtneys. Are we planning to just paddle over and tie up?

Going to pre-fish during the week to get an idea of what’s available...speckled trout are here, but not sure about reds...last year this time of late June we got some under sized flounder, too...the CNRs have been around but avoidable if you are paying attention and you are using good-quality polarized sunglasses

My goal was to make some M&G's this year, unfortunately not going be able to make this one either due to work. Never fished this area before and interested in trying this summer.

We fished the area today. Tough sledding but we managed a few including a redfish and this massive flounder. Hoping more join in over the next week.
