I started logging last fall. I record weather/water conditions, conditions earlier that week, location, depth, fish caught, what worked/didn't work, and a couple general observations and fishing reports I've read. It sounds like a lot, but it's just a few quick notes, and not a paragraph. I bought a binder and divided it by season to identify seasonal patterns. Now the fun part/important part: go out and fish a bunch to log more info! Hopefully after a couple years I can read through it and identify some trends and patterns to increase the odds of catching fish.

      All good input.

For what it's worth, I've had two 2019 trips thus far. They're fully documented.

The real test will come when good weather returns and I fish on consecutive days.
