I'm hearing the buzz from the MKF forums. Several guys are thinking about going down this weekend, and the wx forecast is looking good. I'm game for some stripers, togs, blues ....... Anybody else?

Looks like the forecast for the Lynnhaven side is 3-4 ft waves and Kipto 1 ft or less.

I really want to try the 1st island, but the wind and waves at CBBT and outside Lynnhaven can scare me

Tuff, I'm thinking about CBBT or CHSP... I'll be watching winds. If both get blown out I'm not sure where I'll head. Maybe St Jerome's?

If the winds are bad, I may go to Kipto or maybe follow you to St Jerome's.

It's still early, so hoping for a good forecast.

I'm wavering b/n what I want to do. Really want to hit Va Beach area. But kinda got to hang with the GF for 1st time in about 3 weeks. So I threw around the idea to her to go on the Morning Star Head Boat in OC either sat/sun, but it all depends on wind, don't really want her to get seasick.

But may still do Va Beach, if oc report doesn't look calm enough.

Yes, Rudee is the inlet just south of Lynnhaven.

And yeah I want some nice pullage on it. I took it out in my lake on Monday and caught a few crappie, but that was it.

Morning Star is booked Sat/Sun, so now I really don't know what I'm gonna do.

Would somebody please indulge my curiosity... CHSP?

I think the Morning Star is booked through a good bit of next week. My dad and I were lucky enough to get the last spots on Tuesdays trip. Fingers crossed that the weather holds up.

Hope the weather works out for you guys. Until I get some cold weather kayaking gear, it'll be party boats and shore fishing for me.

I was thinking Kipto this weekend but I just found out about six hours ago I will be in the Bahamas. Got a free trip on Vision Airlines for thier inaugural fight from BWI to Grand Bahama. Free 3 night resort stay also. I guess I will need to go fishing there.

I feel your pain, Jim. Too bad you got to fish in water teeming with marlin, tuna, snook, dolphinfish, wahoo, trevally,....... Tell you what....if I catch an extra toad, I'll put it on ice for you

Thanks tufnik, any idea what line I should use for marlin? I would hate to loose one due to line breakage.

Go outside, drive over a utility pole, wrap the powerline around a 2x4a and hand line them suckers
