WOW You guys are really ready to do this I can tell. I am sending all the paperwork in today now that I have my officers formed. I will post more as we get everything back and can officially be called a chapter. I can't waite to get rolling and get our guys out on the water and fishing. I appreciate every single one of you and I'm honored to have such friends that care enough about this as you all do!!!!

I have a question, and since you are the head cheese, you get to answer. I looked on the HOW page and it says there is already a MD chapter. Do you know anything about that?? Just wondering if the location of that one is further away then the chapter you were starting is.

Its my understanding that guy had a change of heart or something and didn't want to do it for whatever reason. I noticed that a while back and that's why I took on this task. Feel free to call the guy listed. I assure you WE have the only MD Chapter. Hope that answered your question. Feel free to contact Jim on the forum and I'm sure he will answer your questions

I hadnt been paying any attention to this (foolishly) thankfully Medic brought it to my attention. Im looking forward to getting involved in this, and giving back to troops that have given so much for us. I think some type of event would definitely be a good idea, I saw an event on tv that was simply a tournament for vets (although it was boat based). We could easily do this and get many sponsors both kayak fishing related, and others. I know of several companies excluding big busines ie Wal-Mart, McDs that Im sure would donate.

An event like this would be three fold, 1. Give back to the troops 2. Raise funds for the program and 3. Raise public awareness about what we are doing.

Thanks Redfish. I had not seen that article as of yet. Very cool and I may have to get one. As for now, the kayaks and supplies are being kept at my garage and or Nay-Sayers place. I am considering liqudating the 3 smaller donated 8ft sit in Yaks. Those yaks are not much use to us and I have full blessing of the donor Robert Mehle to do so. Please feel free to contact me by cell or email with reference to the stuff you have. If you don't mind I may need you to hold onto everything that you have to donate until I get a storage unit. But give me a call and we'll see whats what.

Don't get a storage unit Tom. The stuff can stay here. You only saw part of my storage here. I still have the barn/stables, a shed, my woodshop and the other half of the garage. I just won't tell my wife the storage is available or she'll buy stuff to fill it.

Unfortunately I will not make the M&G as I will be at the Susky Flats Jamboree for Heroes on the Water. Maybe next month.

I will also be at the Susky Flats Fling/Jamboree for HOW. One day I'll make it to a M&G other than the planning one. I guess the May M&G at Herring Bay is a good bet since I am hosting it
