Rain fishing?

Looking at the severe weather and the deadly outbreak of tornados today, we are lucky that the temps stayed low here in our region and that the cool air prevented a buildup of warm, unstable, humid air and corresponding severe weather...early tomorrow we are supposed to get another round of rain as the cold front moves through but in the afternoon it is supposed to clear up- Sunday is going to be cold and windy so it looks like Saturday afternoon has a shot of being the best time this weekend to try to get out and wet a line-

Thats good enough for me. Maybe the winds will give me a good excuse for 4mile or roaches run

Watch the winds, Mike- the weatherman is forecasting high winds with some of the rain showers- drytops and paddling pants keep out the rainwater but the winds can whip up some wicked conditions-

i prefer rainy days, but not the murky waters that follow. less people out in rain means less spooked fish, or at least you get to see how 'fishy' an area is prior to spooking.

not sure which, if any fish have fast-adjusting pupils but i think it's widely accepted that fish eyes have more difficulty adjusting to change in light conditions. so they'll change their depth to adjust for the light. more of a tendency to be shallow and feed near or at surface near dawn/dusk.

i think this implies the morning pattern will last longer into the day on a rainy or overcast day, which is fine with me too.
