A large oyster was clamped onto my top bottom rig. I had to open it just to get loose and ..........I ate it. Tasty too.

Jim, I agree with MOC, definitely a lizzard fish.

I caught a monster eel at HRBT last year on a flounder jig with a stinger hook. Grilled Sardine had to help me with his pliers too, that thing was pissed.
        Used to fish more.

A 75 lb Atlantic Stingray in Tappahannock Virginia above the bridge several miles at 3 am. We were all like WTF is this a sturgeon?? To our suprise 30 minutes later we have this huge stingray in fresh water... 45 miles from the bay.

Also over the years i have caught 3 fish with hooks in there mouths attached to fishing rods and reels.. I still have one of the ugly sticks hah..

I was fishing a small farm pond, and hooked a bass on a popper. The owner's 80 lb black lab who had been running around the pond, jumped in, grabbed the fish and got hooked in the rear leg. I tackled her before she could get her mouth around to the lure (can you imagine if she got one in the mouth as well as the one in her leg?). While struggling with a wet, scared dog, I managed to bury one of the trebles in my middle finger. I got the hook out of her easy enough, but it took 20 minutes of bloody cussing to get the hook out my finger.

I guess if you fish long enough you're bound to have some weird things happen.

I caught a duck, turtle and a crab, all released safely
I also got a perch on a large bass spinner bait.

I'd like to claim a weird fish, but none of those yet.

I did see a guy get his surf rod pulled over a pier only to have his buddy catch it a couple of hours later.
