My coworkers and I are planning to go to Mattawoman Creek for the 1st time. I will be in my Sea Eagle paddleski. We will be there early (6am) to get an early start. We will be on the hunt for snakeheads bass and catfish. My only fear is that there my be alot of brush that could puncture my sea eagle. Can anyone fill me in on the conditions in the water and if there is anything for me to fear?

Greg and I will be there, but probably not for lunch. We have a 2 hour ride from where we meet.

I might be there after lunch too. My best fishing at Mattawoman has been at sunset.

I'll have some bunker if anyone's interested. Big cats love 'em. Find me on the water (white hobie, orange box) if you want some.

We need a standard VHF radio frequency for our meet and greets. What channel should we use?

Why not 68? Most casual fishing channel- we could alway go up or down a channel for private conversations- I am looking at the weather for tomorrow (just flew in a few minutes ago from Portland, Oregon) and I am going early because of the possibility of thunderstorms in the afternoon-
