Sunday sounds good for me. Let me know Martin, because I could go for a keeper striper of two.

I'm still good for Sunday. I think Mike, Zack and Don may be interested as well.

I jigged the 450 bridge debris pile this afternoon for 45 mins. I caught no fish, but did hook a fine looking oyster shell.

After that I went for pickerel and got my MOJO back. In two hours, I caught 14 of the green rockets. The first fish was over 20". I lifted it by the leader over the cockpit. It made a lunge, spit the hook, bounced off the gunwale, and slid back into the water before I could get a measurement. The rest ranged from 15" to 19". I least I regained my self-confidence.

I'm going to go tempt a skunk at the BB on Saturday. Might be able to head to Piney Point on Sunday....

Looks like a good weekend for fishing. Hopefully the fish agree.

I may be open to this Sunday morning. I'm MUCH MORE interested in who is going to the M&G in Kiptopeake next weekend. Is anyone interested in this. I'm gonna be staying at my Condo in OC regardless so I'd like to have someone else with me. I'm thinking about Stripers at night Friday night and Taug during the day on Saturday. Gonna sleep in the truck while at Kipto. I'm also open to starting Saturday for Taug and doing the giant stripers saturday night. At which case I can stay with the wifey at the condo Friday and drive the 2 hrs to Kipto from OC. I saw a real nice report the other day about the VA Beach area and other hot spots in that area like HRBT and the CBBT Island. Any Takers??? I'm going regardless unless there is rain or a snow storm and the extended weather report looks fair. I don't wanna fish alone. I have an extra room at the Condo if anyone wants to do it the way I am...

I had two trips to Tidewater this week for business and was really tempted to take my kayak along for the ride- that said- I would most likely have fished around Rudee Inlet or Lynnhaven- there is a spot on the Elizabeth River on the Intercostal Waterway that has fish year-round and is always fishable- near the electrical powerplant where warm water discharges into the river- speckled trout, rat reds and school stripers hang there all the time- been that way ever since they built the power plant- same way up here-

I'm thinking on hitting solomons. My friend who is a boater called me last night and said he was fishing the channel just past the naval base and pulled in a 45,47 and a 52 inch rocks all hit at the same time. on planer boards.

Sweet. I am going to head down south to fish for rocks on the Potomac side on Sunday during the warmest part of the day. I will try my hand at focusing in on trolling for the first time. If you are interested in coming along, then feel free to send me a PM.

BasssMoore, DaddyG and I have decided to try the Severn tomorrow. We are meeting at Jonas Green at 8:00 AM. We want to be off of the water before the Ravens game. We may launch from the Navy base so anyone that is interested in going needs to be escorted on base by me. I personally am going to try for white perch in some of the deep holes and probably will troll for stripers as well. There are also pickerel in the area.

Excellent Russ. Let us know how you do. The Severn was my second spot that I would have tried. For now, 5 of us are going down to the Harry Nice Bridge. I may have to listen to the Ravens game on the way back home. Go Ravens for Sunday and GO Skins for Monday!

I will most likely fish in the Severn tomorrow, but will not get started until about noon or slightly later. If the wind is calm, I would like to launch at Weems Creek and test a few of the upstream tributaries. Although I caught lots of pickerel in November (64 of them), I have not caught and photographed a single one above the 20" minimum length for the SRRKC tournament since the tournament started on Nov 15. I am eager to get on the leader board.
