I'll have some extra bunker in case you want to catch some nice blue catfish- first, I want to try for some pickerel with the 1/16 oz jighead tipped with a minnow in the shallows- if I catch any, it is strictly catch and release- high tide is 7:32 a.m and low tide is 1:07 p.m. Friday- figure to launch around 8:30 a.m. and fish the falling tide-

Just wanted to check in to see if others were still planning to hit the creek tomoro. Could all the cold rain that we had have shut the bite down?

Who knows? The cold water might trigger a good pike bite- I am still planning on being at the Slavins launch around 8:30- 8:45 a.m."Lady Luck" 2016 Red Hibiscus Hobie Outback, Lowrance Hook2-7TS

I didnt even know there were pickerel in there, are there a lot?
I will probably get there around 730 or 8 and try the deep spot just down stream from the ramp first, then head up creek and look for you.

No one fishes for them there that I know of, but why not? Fresh water creek off the main River- isn't that where you normally find pickerel? The habitat, cover and such should be favorable to pike- The Snakehead is an ambush predator like the pike and they are there- one big problem for anyone fishing for pike is the number of LM bass here- heavy bass population that makes it hard for a pike to grab your lure- I have rarely ever been skunked here catching bass- real quality bass fishery-"Lady Luck" 2016 Red Hibiscus Hobie Outback, Lowrance Hook2-7TS
