Update

I just wanted to post a quick update as too the status of the 2nd annual fishing flea market. As of tonight, we have 32 tables sold and paid for with about 4 that have requested tables and we are awaiting payment for.
I do need to make a correction on the info on the raffle tix for the spring trophy rockfish season trip for up to 4 persons. The drawing will take place sometime on the 3rd and not on the day of the flea market as printed on the tickets. This is being done as to take advantage on the BassPro kayak event on the 2nd and the 3rd. If this causes any problems or concerns then I will gladly refund any tickets purchased. I am sorry if this causes any problems for anyone but we are trying maximize the earning potential for this awesome fundraiser. We will not have Backyard Boats there this year as our event conflicts with the Baltimore Boat show. If anyone has any connections with a kayak sales or boat sales company that is interested in being a part of our show, Please have them contact me. I can be reached at (443) 306-7306
I will still fill this show this year but would love to have a Kayak Sales group there. I have increased advertising this year with posting on "Caught the skunk" as well as Pasadena Voice, the Capital, Maryland Gazette as well as several other print media. John Veil has agreed to post on an online forum that he is a member of. I have also been attending as many other Fishing Flea markets as I can physically attend. I will be attending the Pasadena Sportfishing show next weekend as well as having a table at the Annapolis fishing expo/show on the 23rd handing out flyers for our show, selling raffle tickets and seeking donations to fill up my trash can that I purchased just for these events. I would love to have some help at this show to sell some raffle tickets and hand out a few flyers, say 2 or 3 folks that can last about 4-5 hours.

Also remember we have some of our guys doing the Kayak fishing demo at BassPro both Saturday and Sunday in front of the Fly Shop. Daddy G is doing Saturday and yours truly will be there on sunday with my loaded Ocean trident 13... Lots happenings this weekend. Come out and support your fishing buddies

I posted a notice about the flea market on Tidalfish this morning. Somebody bumped it up to a sticky on their main board. So far there have been 150 views there. I hope it will d draw in more customers.

Yeah, I enjoyed chatting with the guys too. I didn't need anything, and I had no intention of buying stuff..........but I walked out with two reels, jigheads, sinkers and lures.....and I almost picked up a rod too.......I think I need to stay away from flea markets.

Well here ya go folks, The fire Dept made about $1,100 total and thats with the raffle's and everything all together. I will post an itemized list of the rundown on all the different fundraiser things that were going on. The raffle for the fishing trips were as follows. There were a total of 3 donated chartered fishing trips. The committee from the fire dept decided NOT to use one of them, the first one donated by Jeff Snyder Enterprises, as he was NOT A LICENSED CAPT. This was a liabillty concern and they didn't want that. That guy also didn't return phone calls from several guys including me and I'm a friend of his. Too many red flags... One of the winners was one of our own kayakers, Ron Ault. He won the trip for four on the Bay. The other winner (I don't have the info in front of me) was a woman from Pasadena who purchased the ticket the day of the flea market. I will post her name at a later date if anyone wants it, Just let me know. That was a trip for up to 8 people and will run out of Chesapeake Beach. Thanks goes out to all who participated and came to shop, especially to KITKATYAKER who sold over 100 tickets. Again, I will post the rundown or itemized list as soon as I get it from the firehouse. I understand that the fire co. is buying us a Kayak trailer. I still want to get the trailer built that we had donated by Mike (I think he goes by Redfish). I'm sorry but I have such a POOR MEMORY when it comes to names. Old age has not be kind. Could the person who donated the trailer to us PLEASE post here so you can get recognized properly.
